The Executive Board of the Technical University Delft has decided BK City to be maintained as permanent housing for the faculty of architecture and the built environment. For a sustainable future the faculty has initiated the project BK City SLIM; development of a sensational sustainable building with high standard architecture taking into account the monumental values of the existing building.
Six architects/consultants were invited to present a vision on innovative solutions for sustaibility: - 2012 architects (now Superuse studios), Jan Jongert; - Laura Alvarez Architecture, Laura Alvarez; - DWA, Kees Wisse; - Except, Tom Bosschaert; - Climatic Design Consult, Tom Haartsen; - DSA, Duzan Doepel.
DSA and DWA have presented a vision as a team. 2012 architects (Superuse Studios) and Climatic Design Consult have combines their knowledge as well: 2012 architects have presented their vision that was supported by specific know how of CDC in the field of energy conservation.
