Climatic Design Consult constitutes together with DGMR consulting engineers and Deerns consulting engineers the team of authors of Dutch standard NEN 2916: Energy performance of non-residential buildings - Determination method.
The method is largely based on EN 832 and prEN ISO 13790. For the calculation of energyconsumption of cooling a new method is derived based on utilisationfactors as is done in the EN's for heat: utilisation factors for cold related to building mass and the relation between heat loss and heat gain. The utilisationfactors are derived on the basis of a large number of dynamic heat balance calculations. More information (in Dutch) at the epn-site van Novem.
